The wolf I conversed with did, yes. "So that worm is still alive" were his words, if I remember correctly.

There unfortunately aren't many to give. I was trying to pry out information in regards to the King's Court, but obviously I was the one at a disadvantage there. All he would say about it was that it hadn't existed in ages.

But... specifically, how did the Sanke come up? You're making it sound like the wolf expected the Snake to be dead.

Miss Sonata and I were brought there to be interrogated. The wolves wanted to know details about the pasture. If any of us had summoned demons. What holy beasts we'd come across. Why would the weeds and their abilities not have been brought up?

And I've told your snake information that I haven't even given to the other shepherds yet. Is that not enough?

...No?? What difference does that make?? None of it reflects bad on you. You could tell them at any time.

I want to know what the wolf thought about the Snake and what you told him. I want context for what the wolf said. I need to know what the wolf knew about the Boss.

I told you there wasn't much.

He said he was passingly familiar with the snake but had decided that he was ultimately a waste of his time and dismissed him as a child.

[None of this is a lie.]

If you hadn't joined the rescue mission you wouldn't have even been worth his attention. Is that what you wanted to hear?

Any time he was willing to share information rather than attempt to pull it from me I wanted to take advantage of it. I jumped on an opportunity to ask him about himself, so we didn't have a lengthy discussion on the snake.

...But, this makes absolutely no sense.

[Never knows when that field might be up and has thus been purposefully avoidant with her this whole time, so that won't change.]

That's true of many things in this place.

The wolf said "Don't forget where your powers came from."

That means, the wolf should have them.

That means, the wolf should be able to compel you to tell the truth no matter what you said. ...So, why torture you?

I considered that too.

It could be a matter of this "power" manifesting itself differently depending on who has it and how it's used. He could also take control of you, something I don't believe the snake has ever done. And blowing us all away from the building the way he did? Is that something a weed can do?

As the leader of the wolves, perhaps he maintains some connection or power over the others. That would give him that line to you even if your abilities came from another wolf under him.

I want many things. But, my talk about doing very nice things for you all was very, very true. Please remember having a weed like you is worth a lot.

[He could argue that it's the other way around, that the rest of the weeds don't end up like Patches just out of the good graces of the other flocks, but he won't. She did help him out today.]

And you should keep an eye on your boss, since you care about him so much. Maybe you can hold him back from doing something on a whim that might ultimately be detrimental to him.
