NOTABLE CHARACTER INFORMATION

Monika is a character program from a dating sim who became self-aware. For all intents and purposes, she was a sentient being, while the other girls in the games were automatons. This led her to regard her life as a never ending torture of pure loneliness, made worse by the fact she knew a player was watching her, and playing the game. This was compounded by the fact that when the game was off, she underwent terrible physical and psychological torture from sensory overload. In a desperate attempt to get the player's attention, she recklessly started altering the game with basic attempts at rewriting the programming and script. At the same time she developed an infatuation with the imagined 'player', viewing them as her true love. She was forced to confront her callous actions when the player deleted her, setting a chain-reaction that would leave Monika with no choice but to delete and corrupt the entire game. In effect, she was closing a pandora's box that playing Doki Doki Literature Club unleashed on the characters inside. A choice with a consequence of eternal isolation, as the game could no longer be played. She's a reformed weed transplanted to Rose. As a weed, she was very spiteful and bitter, but after recovering her memories she opened her heart to positive relationships and eventually transplanted to a flock that has accepted her, despite her long history, as her heart is now in the right place.
